Okay, so maybe I have an unfair bias against the Jonas Brothers because they’re the first pop sensation to make their way to superstardom before I knew who they were. In other words: I’m too old to know what kids are listening to these days.

With the adorably endearing exceptions of Adele, Sugarland, and of course Jennifer Hudson, the only reasons to watch tonight’s Grammy Awards are the musical performances. So when I heard that The Grand Master of All that is Musically Good and Holy and Friggin’ Awesome, Stevie Wonder, would be performing with the Jonas Children, I was pretty excited. I mean, there’s gotta be a reason that those little boys got so famous, right?

Well, maybe the performance WAS good, but I wouldn’t know because I blacked out the whole thing: the Head Jonas FORGOT THE LYRICS TO SUPERSTITION. The flash of shock that flitted across his face when he realized his flub would have been hilarious if I hadn’t been so (gratuitously) offended. I don’t know much about singing live, but I DO know that if I were given the honor of performing with a musical titan like Stevie Wonder, I sure as eff would know the lyrics to his song backward, forward, and in Latin.

Superstition starts at 2:10 and then the shameful mistake starts at 2:45. And as a bonus: to see puberty in action, fast forward to 3:22. (Okay, that’s a low blow. They can’t help their voices changing. And I can’t help laughing at them for it.)

I wish I’d had a video camera when I was getting MY Dave home after he got his wisdom teeth out. He wasn’t this cute, though.

Guess what I did for FOUR HOURS today??!?!?!?

I’m not going to tell you just yet because I ran out of sunlight and I want to make sure that I get per-fect photos of my masterpiece. (Okay, I might be hyping this up too much…yep, I definitely am).

You girls are the best. The best! Without Salma, my project today would have taken twice as long.

Getting up early and sneaking around the house while My One sleeps in for once.

Shhhhhh….if we’re very quiet he might not find out that I posted these on the Internet….

I totally love the idea of wallpaper behind a bed to make the room seem more dramatic.

This reminds me of Aubrey’s fabulous living room project. (source)

I’ve been coveting this birch wallpaper ever since I saw it in an issue of Blueprint magazine. (source)

Ah, le sigh. I love wallpaper.

Okay, I don’t know how much I’m supposed to say about this…but let’s just say that a CERTAIN MOB who is a WRITER just found out that her MOST RECENT BOOK is numero UNO on a VERY IMPORTANT NEWSPAPER’s best-seller list!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE go Mommy!!!

I’m going to buy eighty copies of the VERY FAMOUS NEWSPAPER THAT EVERYONE IN THE WORLD KNOWS this Sunday! (I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say which paper before it’s published.)

My mom says MOB instead of Mother of the Bride because I think it freaks her out to think of me being enough of an adult to get married.

She and I are having a bear of a time trying to find her MOB dress, despite her stunning good looks (see above). And then – WHAMMY – I realized that you three are the most fashionable girls I know, so I thought I’d ask for YOUR input. To see what dresses she has considered-slash-is considering, jump below. I’d love some insight from our other readers, too…and I know you’re out there! We’ve had 26 views today, and it’s not even past lunchtime on the West Coast!

Okay I SWEAR that this is my last post for the day (3 in one day is just superfluous, people. Superfluous.) …but look what I just got in the mail!!!!! Guess which three people will be getting their cards first…

She even put a fancy pen in there…she truly knows the way to my heart. My Pigma Microns are happy to have a new sibling in their crystal pen cup (yes, I use crystal to store my pens).

I feel friggin’ lucky, because mark my words: in a few years, Aubrey‘s going to be one of those exclusive, sought-after wedding designers and I’ll get to be like, “Oh, yeah, I know her…AND she designed my wedding stationary.”

My mom and I were having a conversation about babies this morning (don’t FREAK OUT people, I’m sticking to our timeline), and then….well, I’ll just let it speak for itself.

Via Cup of Jo, one of my fave blogs. Also, how much do you LOVE the song? Reminds me of Pink Martini mixed with Anya Marina mixed with Emiliana Torrini.
